Charli XCX gets festive for Agent Provocateur campaign

Published

Charli XCX is heralding the start of the holiday season with a sexy new campaign for Agent Provocateur.

The singer has been unveiled as the face of the luxury lingerie brand’s Holiday 2019 campaign, for which she stars in a video clip titled ‘Saddle Up, Santa!’ that sees her channel her inner rodeo queen. According to Fashionista, the label snapped her up to “pay homage to country-western and the Deep South with a Rhinestone Rodeo.” Astride a mechanical bull, the musician models multiple different looks, complete with accessories such as cowgirl hats and sparkly gloves.

“This holiday season, Charli sleighs like a Rodeo Queen you’ve never seen, showing us a thing or two about power, grace and commanding the spotlight,” Agent Provocateur explains via YouTube.

“Shooting the Saddle Up Santa campaign with AP was absolutely iconic and I can’t wait for you to see the full thing!” the singer told her 3.5 million Instagram followers.

The news marks the latest milestone in a big year for Charli, who released her third studio album ‘Charli’ back in September. The star also features in the Netflix series “I’m With The Band: Nasty Cherry,” which makes its debut this month.

Khloé Kardashian Clarifies Everybody’s Contract Status Amid Questions About The Future Of ‘KUWTK’

Khloé Kardashian is clarifying everything amid ALL the juicy KUWTK drama this week.

The Good American founder took to social media late Sunday evening to answer questions from fans during one of the rockiest, most controversial episodes of Keeping Up in recent memory. And as it turns out, Khloé’s reveals sure make it seem like Kourtney Kardashian‘s departure from the show may come with major money movements!

True Thompson‘s momma made clear that contractual issues will come into play wit Kourt’s exit after a fan asked her about it during the tweet-along the reality TV star often does while the episode airs.

As you can see (below), Khlo-money confirmed that while Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner have different contracts for their appearances on the fam’s reality show, Kourtney, Khloé, and Kim Kardashian West are all held to one identical standard across the group:

The fact all three women have the same contract isn’t really surprising; 40-year-old Kourt, 39-year-old Kim, and 35-year-old Khloé have all starred in the E! reality TV series since 2007 when it premiered — and by now, all three have long since become executive producers of the show.

To that end, then, one wonders what buyout or exemption would potentially be in store for Kourtney upon her quitting the show. Will she still serve as an executive producer? How will Kris Jenner continue to divide up all the money once her oldest moves on?! (Believe us on this, you KNOW the momager has long had a plan for this very day!)

Kourtney has mentioned wanting the “private moments” in her life back. Honestly, we get it. / (c) Kourtney Kardashian/Instagram

Business or not, it still appears to be all love between the Kardashian sisters, thankfully.

Just hours after the live-tweeting last night, Khloé also graced everybody’s timeline with this little gem, reminding us about what’s REALLY important here:

Awww! Well said, girl!

Where Does ‘KUWTK’ Go From Here?!

We’d be remiss not to wonder about the future of the reality show in general, considering Kourt’s all-but-for-sure departure. Forget the contracts: what about the fans? The fame? The television royalty? For years, this was the KarJenner’s main vehicle into our homes and hearts each week on E! — until, more recently, social media took over the game and all the sisters launched their respective beauty and clothing empires.

Maybe the show has grown stale and outdated. Heck, with Netflix, Disney +, and YouTube, who’s watching cable TV any more, ya know?! Maybe a few years from now, we’ll look back on the momma of three’s departure as the beginning of the end for one of the most successful reality TV series of all time. Crazy!!

What do U think about all this, Perezcious readers?! How is Kris going to re-work the girls’ contracts now??

The fellows of the third Elaine Gold Launch Pad have reached a new milestone within the program, pitching their ‘Design Sprint’ presentations to the selection committee.

CFDA

The pitch process marks the latest phase of the program since the launch pad—a joint venture of the Council of Fashion Designers of America and the Accessories Council dedicated to supporting young design talent—announced its finalists in July: Rui Zhou of Rui Zhou, Dana Hurwitz and Maria Pershadsingh of Bond Hardware, Graham Baldwin of Graham Tyler, Shanel Campbell of Bed On Water, and Loren Thomas and Caragh Bennet of Tribe + Glory.

In partnership with the Accessories Council, each brand pitched for a micro grant of $5,000, $10,000, and $15,000 to build their brand and work toward their final launch pad presentation, scheduled for next March.

The CFDA announced that a total of up to $75,000 was allotted for this Design Sprint pulled from the combined total funds of up to $175,000. After deliberating, the committee decided to give each brand $15,000.

In addition, CFDA President and CEO Steven Kolb announced that, “through funding and as a special gift through Valentino, each Elaine Gold Launch Pad Fellow will receive an additional $20,000 to aid with local production.”

According to the CFDA, Rui Zhou plans to use the funds to focus on her production through purchasing machines and developing her fabric, as well as allotting funds to her show budget for New York Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2020.

Likewise, Dana Hurwitz and Maria Pershadsingh plan to use the funds to prioritize website and e-commerce improvements for Bond Hardware, while Graham Baldwin plans to focus on textile and product development for Graham Tyler.

Shanel Campbell will use the funds for materials, production and marketing at her label, Bed On Water, and designer duo Tribe + Glory plans to use the money to optimize their online presence and launch a new website by next March.

The next step for the launch pad fellows is the ‘360 Blueprint Presentations,’ scheduled in March.

This past February, the second Elaine Gold Launch Pad grand prize of $55,000 was awarded to designers Angela Luna and Loulwa Al Saad of Adiff and Morganne Leigh of Tyche + Iset, as the two bands tied for first place.
