Eugenie and Beatrice “Going Though Hell” Since Andrew Scandal

  • A source shares that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s partners are supporting them as they deal with Prince Andrew’s scandal.
  • Apparently, the two are “going through hell” at the moment.

Earlier this week, it was reported that things haven’t been great over at Buckingham Palace. Royal reporter Katie Nicholl shared that the Queen is having “very difficult time behind the scenes, and morale is at a bit of a low.” And while sure, this might have to do with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry not spending Christmas with the family, it’s more likely that the biggest issue for the royal family right now is the scandal surrounding Prince Andrew.

ICYMI, Prince Andrew recently gave a horribly received tell-all interview about his association with Jeffrey Epstein, and a few days later announced that he’s stepping back from his royal duties. And apparently the scrutiny surrounding Prince Andrew has been taking a major toll on his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

According to Us, Eugenie and Beatrice have been dealing with the scandal by leaning on their partners. A source shares, “Eugenie’s husband and Beatrice’s fiancé are standing by them and are doing everything they can to distract the girls from the situation and calm them down. There have been scandals surrounding Andrew and Sarah Ferguson in the past, and while this is the worst yet, they know that marrying into the royal family comes with its ups and downs.”

The source adds, “Bea is talking to her dad most days” and has been relying on her sister for support as well, even though “Eugenie’s also going through hell with it all.” Oof. Here’s hoping that Eugenie and Beatrice feel better for the holidays!

Whoops! Glenn Close Confuses SAG Awards for Golden Globes — Twice!

Published

Awards season can seem like an endless series of black-tie Sunday events, especially if you’ve attended them for decades. Such was the case for veteran actress Glenn Close, who confused Sunday’s Screen Actors’ Guild Awards for the Golden Globes — twice!

The two-time SAG Award winner gave her Instagram followers a look inside the Shrine auditorium, capturing a snap with actor Bobby Canavale (the partner of her “Damages” co-star Rose Byrne). “Bobby!!! A wonderful surprise at the Golden Globes,” Close captioned the photo.

Later during the show, Close posted a video from the awards show, showing off her dinner place card (next to Rita Wilson’s) and at one point even panning past the giant Screen Actors Guild logo on the main stage. “At theGolden Globes. Such an honor to be in that room with people who have entertained and inspired me for years. A lovely evening,” she wrote.

The actress later corrected the posts. And we certainly can’t blame Close for getting the events confused as many of the attendees and winners overlapped — she presented the Best Actor award to Joaquin Phoenix, who also took home the Golden Globe in that category exactly two weeks prior.

Earlier in the evening, Close posted a video saying that she was headed to the SAG Awards, so she actually did know which awards show she was attending.

“Hi everyone, I’m back,” she said after adjusting the camera. “I’m going to the SAG Awards. I’m very, very honored to be giving the award for best actor tonight and just had the usual craziness with my wonderful hair and makeup people. This beautiful Oscar de la Renta dress, I’m very happy to have also these Cartier jewels. I always feel like Cinderella: come here, do something, see a lot of friends, and go back my blue jeans.”

We can forgive her Globes gaffe and applaud any 72-year-old who uses social media!

Will Alayah Benavidez Return to ‘Bachelor’ After Being Sent Home?

Published

[Warning: There are Bachelor season 24, episode 3 spoilers ahead—read at your own risk!]

  • After being told that contestant Alayah Benavidez wasn’t being real with him, Peter Weber eliminated her at the third rose ceremony.
  • However, it looks like she might be coming back…

Wow guys, Peter Weber’s season is BRINGING IT with the content—first we got two episodes with Hannah Brown cameos, then we got a bottle of champagne exploding on contestant Kelsey Weier’s face, and tonight was all about the beauty queen drama. And even though it looked like we had seen the last of Alayah Benavidez, aka former Miss Texas, it seems like that might not be the case after all!

After Peter eliminates Alayah during a very intense rose ceremony (Chris Harrison comes in to take away one of the roses dramatically), he pulls aside a producer and tells her that he has regrets about letting Alayah go. He doesn’t know if he made the right choice, and worries that he’s going to regret it “like crazy” and that he won’t get past her going home “for a while.” “I thought that was the right thing to do,” he says, “but I don’t know right now. I just hope I made the right decision.”

THEN during teasers for next weeks’ episode, who shows back up during a group date but Alayah, who saunters in and announces, “I here to freaking set the record straight about what was said about me.” And FYI, the things be said about her presumably refer to most of the other contestants saying that she was fake/Victoria P. telling Peter that Alayah asked her to lie about them knowing each other.

So, I guess this leads me to ask: Do we think that Alayah will be rejoining Peter and the other contestants on their journey to ~lurve~?

StockX reports over $1 billion in GMV in 2019

StockX, the Detroit-based “stock market of things,” has announced that it surpassed $1 billion in gross merchandise value in 2019 alone, as the platform pushed forward with international expansion, especially in Europe and Asia.

StockX was founded in Detroit in February 2016 – Instagram: @stockx

As part of its expansion efforts, StockX opened offices in Tokyo, New York City and Silicon Valley in 2019, as well as authentication centers in both the Netherlands and Atlanta. The platform also localized in France, Italy and Germany, thereby reducing processing fees and delivery times for customers in these countries.

These investments are obviously paying off for the company, which was founded in February 2016, as international sales accounted for 30% of its business last year.

Over the course of the year, the platform also saw its buyer and seller registration base increase by more than 100% and processed sales in a total of 197 countries and territories.

It wasn’t only its global reach that StockX expanded last year, though, as the company was also busy diversifying its product categories. The platform, which hosts sneakers, apparel, accessories and collectibles, added trading cards to its collectibles category in 2019. The company’s luxury and collectibles categories grew by almost 200% over the course of the year.

StockX’s team grew considerably in 2019 too, with the company’s first-ever chief financial, chief marketing and chief communications officers all joining e-commerce vet Scott Cutler, who was appointed as the platform’s CEO in June of last year. StockX currently employs around 1,000 people worldwide.

“2019 was a momentous year for StockX,” said Cutler in a release. “We rapidly expanded our product lines, verticals and global footprint — all to better serve our growing platform and valued customers around the world. As the fastest-growing e-commerce marketplace of its kind, we are committed to leveraging the incredible learnings and momentum from 2019 while remaining focused on, and excited by the significant growth opportunities in 2020.”

As part of a report on its progress in 2019, StockX also revealed some of its biggest selling brands in certain categories last year. In the sneaker category, the brands with the biggest market share were Jordan Brand, Adidas and Nike, with the most popular styles proving to be the Jordan 1, the Yeezy 350 and the Air Force 1.

The top three streetwear brands on the platform were Supreme, Bape and Kith, while Rolex was the most popular watch brand and Louis Vuitton was the favorite label in the accessories category.
