What Is Dove Cameron’s Real Name?

Disney Channel fans are probably already familiar with Dove Cameron’s name. The 23-year-old actress and singer first got her start playing twins on Liv and Maddie and Mal in the Disney Channel original movie Descendants. Since then, she has gone on to have roles on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., in Netflix’s Dumplin’, and even off-Broadway as Cher in Clueless.

While her name is certainly becoming more recognizable in the industry, what you might not know is that her birth name isn’t actually Dove. The actress was born Chloe Celeste Hosterman but decided to legally change it when she got into acting. She explained the heartbreaking backstory on social media, saying that “Dove” was actually a nickname her dad, Philip Hosterman, used to call her.

“My father passed away a few years ago, right around the time I started acting,” she explained in an Instagram post in 2014. “So, I decided to change it legally in honor of him, which gives me great joy every day that I was able to do something so lasting and permanent to pay homage to his memory.”

Bette Milder Slams Justin Timberlake’s Apology For Holding Hands With Co-Star—“When Is Janet Jackson’s Boob Gonna Get An Apology”

#Roommates, it’s been a few weeks since Justin Timberlake was caught holding hands with his co-star and followed up with a public apology. Well, not everyone is checking for it—specifically veteran actress/singer Bette Midler, who not only slammed his apology, but also told him to put some respect on Janet Jackson’s name.

Justin Timberlake found himself in hot water when he was caught getting very cozy with his movie co-star Alisha Wainwright, which saw the pair holding hands and caressing each other while they were filming a movie in New Orleans. Justin just recently issued a public apology to his wife Jessica Biel…but then Bette Midler entered the chat.

As reported by @TheGrio, Bette recently took to social media to get Justin Timberlake all the way together for his apology because he still has never offered the same courtesy to Janet Jackson—by giving her a public apology after their 2004 Super Bowl halftime performance ended in disaster and created the term “wardrobe malfunction.”

Bette tweeted this:

“#JustinTimberlake publicly apologized to his wife for holding hands with another actress after having too much to drink, but sez nothing else happened. Who cares? He held another woman’s hand, BFD. So when is Janet Jackson’s boob gonna get an apology? #JusticeForJanet”

In case you need a bit of a refresher, not only did Justin Timberlake never publicly apologize to Janet or defend her for his role in the incident, he was also invited to perform at the Super Bowl again in 2018. Meanwhile, Queen Janet faced immense backlash and has never been invited back to the Super Bowl halftime stage.

Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
