Jack Wolfskin appoints Alexander Hauser as COO

Published

on

Alexander Hauser has been named as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Jack Wolfskin. Taking up the new role on 1 September, the 45-year-old will be responsible for the IT, warehouse, logistics, purchasing and in-house service divisions of the outdoor clothing brand.

Alexander Hauser is the brand’s new COO – JACK WOLFSKIN

As new COO, Hauser is also responsible for the further integration of Jack Wolfskin’s warehouse and IT systems with Callaway Golf Company, which acquired the brand in 2018.

Hauser joins from fashion jewellery label Beeline Group. Prior to that, he spent seven years in senior IT positions at the Otto Group.

Alexander Hauser will be the first COO at Jack Wolfskin, because the German brand had previously combined the CFO and COO responsibilities into one role. It announced in the summer it was separating the roles in order to better meet the requirements of Callaway.

Ante Franicevic, new chief financial officer at Jack Wolfskin, has been performing the COO duties on an interim basis since June.

Outfits for Big Boobs – Looks for Women With Large Busts

Published

on

Any woman with big boobs will tell you that getting dressed is just a little harder when your cups overfloweth. Cleavage can get out of control, shirts can gape between buttons (and occasionally even pop open at the most inopportune moments), and dresses that fit both your top and bottom are merely a dream. If you feel me, and your boobs present more than a few challenges when getting dressed in the morning, what you need are a few fresh outfit ideas.

And, honestly, who better to consult for style advice than those with the same problem? We anonymously surveyed 13 Cosmo editors who wear size D-and-up cups to find out what styles work best for them. Take inspiration from their tried-and-true looks and copy one of the following outfits for larger busts.

1. The Wrap Dress

Extended Sizes Winslow Dress

Reformation
thereformation.com

$278.00

This deep-V option shows just the right amount of cleavage for anyone, and it’s also super easy to style. Add some heels or flats depending on the occasion, wear your hair back to keep the focus on that neckline, and you’re good to go.

Survey says…

“It’s hard to find a dress that fits well both on the top and the bottom halves of my body, but a wrap dress is the perfect solution because you can adjust how to fits—and the cinched waist is a plus.”

2. The Smocked Top

When you have big boobs, fitted tops are a hard style to pull off. Sure, you could buy a shirt to fit them and take it to the tailor, *or* you could go with a stretchier option that perfectly hugs all of your curves. Tuck your top into a pair of high-waist pants to accentuate your waist even more.

Survey says…

“Some days my boobs feel bigger than others, so having stretchy tops on hand is a must. A smocked top is a trendier way of staying comfortable so I’m not busting at the seams.”

3. The Oversized Blazer

Black Check Print Woven Oversized Blazer

Pretty Little Thing
prettylittlething.us

$55.00

With a boxy jacket, you won’t have to worry about getting it tailored to fit both your bust and your waist. Leave it open in the front if you want to show off a little, or fasten a button when you need more coverage.

Survey says…

“I’m not ever trying to hide my shape, so I tend to go fitted with my dresses and tops most of the time and I love pairing that with the new oversized blazer trend.”

4. The Scoop Neckline

Short Sleeve Thong Bodysuit

Forever21
forever21.com

$10.00

If a deep V feels like too much and a turtleneck seems a little stifling, go with a square, scoop, or boatneck. A plain, fitted top is great for wearing with a pair of jeans for a casual look or layering under other pieces.

Survey says…

“Square and scoop necklines are nice for when I want to feel more open, but not go crazy on cleave.”

5. The Silky Dress

Floral Ditsy Long Sleeve Satin Wrap Dress

LEITH
nordstrom.com

$59.00

When you want something that hugs your curves but doesn’t squeeze them, try a satin-y silky dress. For a little more definition, find one with a matching belt.

Survey says…

“I love wearing silk dresses—it’s even better when they have something that ties at the waist.”

6. The Turtleneck

Navia Turtleneck Organic Stretch Cotton Bodysuit

REFORMATION
nordstrom.com

$46.80

When you want to show off your shape without any cleavage whatsoever, turtleneck bodysuits are your best friend. Unlike regular tops that can become easily untucked with big boobs, the onesie version will keep everything smooth and pulled tight.

Survey says…

“I wear tight turtleneck bodysuits with everything at work, especially fun suits.”

7. The Knotted Top

UO Alex Twist-Front Cropped Top

Urban Outfitters
urbanoutfitters.com

$49.00

Boxy crop tops tend to look like a tent if you have a larger bust. Ones with ties and twists add a bit more definition and stop that nonsense from happening.

Survey says…

“Dresses and tees with knotted details are my best friend.”

8. The French Tuck

Speaking of the tent effect…when you’re in a T-shirt kinda mood but hate how the fabric is falling on your body, tuck just the front into your pants to remind yourself that you do, in fact, have a waist.

Survey says…

“I’m always French-tucking my shirts to combat the Tent Effect.”

9. The Loose Top and Tight Pants

Margot High Rise Skinny Jeans

L’AGENCE
shopbop.com

$265.00

On days when you just can’t deal and want to throw on a loose-fitting top or chunky sweater, pair it with tight jeans or pants to offset the bulkiness and give your legs the spotlight for a minute.

Survey says…

“Fitted jeans are my jam when I’m wearing a looser shirt on top.”

10. The Blousy Jumpsuit

Louis Jumpsuit

Free People
freepeople.com

$98.00

If you despise tops that constantly ride up when you raise your arms, then you’ll love jumpsuits. This one has the look of a blouse without all the fuss.

Survey says…

“Jumpsuits with looser top halves are my go-to in the summer.”

11. The Super Cropped Top

Cropped Acid Wash Denim Jacket

Forever21
forever21.com

$29.99

Because cropped tops can go from short to basically a bra on someone with big boobs, wearing yours with high-waisted bottoms will keep things covered. P.s. these look especially cute when paired with cropped jackets too.

Survey says…

“Short crop tops help me define my waist without having to use a belt or tuck in a shirt.”

12. The Matching Set

Plus Size Leaf Print Top & Pants Set

Forever21
forever21.com

$42.00

Coordinating sets take all the guesswork out of getting dressed in the morning and they solve all the fit issues that women with big boobs are used to dealing with because you can buy different sizes on the top and bottom. Wear them together, or mix and match them with other pieces you own.

Why We Love It:

“Sets are great, because you can mix and match the sizing.”

13. The Belted Flowy Dress

Feeling Groovy Maxi Dress in Ivory Combo

Free People
revolve.com

$168.00

When you don’t have the energy to find a dress that fits you like a glove, slip on a roomy design and make it work for you by cinching a belt around your waist.

Survey says…

“I like to wear looser dresses and belt them at the waist.”

Over 70 emerging brands to launch on QVC and HSN in 2020

Published

Qurate Retail Group-owned shopping networks QVC and HSN will be launching over 70 new brands discovered through their nationwide search, “The Big Find”, before the end of this year. The newcomers will be offering shoppers cosmetics, jewelry and accessories, among other products.

Mented Cosmetics makes its debut on HSN – Photo: HSN

21 new beauty brands, including Act & Acre, Mented Cosmetics, Alkaglam and Follain, will be making their debut on the two platforms in 2020, along with seven jewelry brands, such as Valencia Key Jewelry and Taudrey, and seven accessories brands, including Have Some Fun Today.

Being featured by QVC and HSN, which operate through broadcasts, websites, apps and social pages, represents an important growth opportunity for the emerging brands, offering a completely different kind of exposure from that which a business could achieve by having its products stocked by a brick-and-mortar store or a transactional e-commerce site.

“As the pioneers of video commerce and brand storytelling, we’ve launched or nurtured some of the nation’s most successful entrepreneurial brands, such as IT Cosmetics, Tatcha, Junior’s Cheesecake, Korres, and others,” commented Mary Campbell, Qurate Retail Group’s chief merchandising officer and QVC U.S.’s chief commerce officer, in a release.

“By supporting entrepreneurs, we continue to bring customers innovative new brands, often with a high degree of exclusivity,” she added. “We’re constantly on the hunt for promising entrepreneurs with compelling products.”

The Big Find was launched in June 2019, attracting over 650 applicants from the U.S. and 12 other countries, including South Africa, Australia, Singapore, South Korea and India.

These entrepreneurs were whittled down to 270 semi-finalists, who met QVC and HSN buyers in August, with each applicant being given 10 minutes to make their pitch.

Not only will the winning entrepreneurs see their products featured on QVC and HSN, but they will also receive mentoring sessions from the founders and brand leaders that make up the platforms’ vendor community, including the people behind brands such as Mally Beauty, Laura Geller, Vionic shoes and Beauty Bioscience.

Founded in 1982, HSN reaches some 96 million households with its broadcasts and features more than 50,000 product videos on its website. QVC was founded in 1986 and currently has retail operations in the U.S., the UK, Germany, Japan and Italy, as well as a joint venture in China.

Jennifer Lawrence is Heading Back to Our Screens This Year

Published

on

Ready. For. This.

Jennifer Lawrence is making her silver screen comeback this year, it has been confirmed.

After taking a much-earned break away from the spotlight to focus on other projects (and get married), the Academy Award-winning actress will be back in front of the camera again as early as April. Lawrence has been confirmed to play one of two leads in Adam McKay’s forthcoming comedy film Don’t Look Up which will premiere on Netflix later this year.

In addition to Jen’s participation, the only other thing we know about the film is the plot: Two low-level astronomers embark on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy planet earth, as per Deadline.

McKay, who is also an Oscar winner (he’s one half of the team behind 2016’s Best Adapted Screenplay winner The Big Short), said of Lawrence’s casting: “I’m so thrilled to make this movie with Jen Lawrence. She’s what folks in the 17th century used to call ‘a dynamite talent’. And the fact that Netflix sees this movie as a worldwide comedy sets the bar high for me and my team in an exciting and motivating way.”

In addition to Don’t Look Up, the Silver Linings Playbook actress has a handful of other roles in the works, too, including an untitled film for A24 and Scott Rudin Productions, Mob Girl (in which she will star and produce), and Bad Blood – she and McKay will team up again for this one – in which Lawrence will portray disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.

And whilst we’re obviously excited about the movies, it’s really the press tours we’re most looking forward to TBH.
