Published

Courteney Cox had a very special Friend make a cameo in her Instagram feed on Thursday: Matthew Perry.

“Guess who I had lunch with today,” she wrote, “ I KNOW!! Could I BE any happier? #realfriends.”

The characters Cox, 55, and Perry, 50, played on the show, Monica and Chandler, were of course romantically entwined on their long-running NBC show, and became parents in the finale.

Their Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow commented on the social media snapshot — as did others, including Allison Janney, Christa B. Miller and Eric Stonestreet.

Some even asked about the twins.

While there are lots of Friends reunions — on Thursday night, Cox and Lisa Kudrow helped honor Jennifer Aniston as she received the Artists Inspiration Award at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s 4th Annual Patron of the Artists Awards — Perry typically isn’t among them. His last red carpet was in 2017 — and that year was also the last time we saw him on-screen.

However, Perry was there when all six Friends co-stars caught up. Aniston shared the photo — also including Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer — when she recently joined Instagram

Perry, who has long struggled with addiction, has had health woes he’s been dealing with. Last year, he was hospitalized for three months while recovering from surgery for a gastrointestinal perforation.

In June, photos of him looking “disheveled” with unkempt fingernails while out in NYC raised concern from fans. However, he humorously responded to the chatter, making a joke about needing a manicure.

Published

Pat Sajak is on the mend after last week’s emergency surgery. The iconic game show host tweeted Monday that he’s “so grateful for all the good wishes during my recent illness,” adding, “the worst has passed.” Sajak, 73, assured fans he’ll return to Wheel of Fortune soon, unless Vanna White “has completely taken over.”

On Friday, it was announced that Sajak successfully underwent surgery “to correct a blocked intestine.” Taping was canceled one day prior.

“He is resting comfortably and looking forward to getting back to work,” a message posted to the Wheel of Fortune social media channels read. “Taping resumed today as scheduled and Vanna White has stepped in as host.”

The account also shared a photo of White, 63, in her new role.

Sajak and White have been part of the syndicated version of Wheel of Fortune since its inception in 1983. It’s the longest-running syndicated game show in the U.S. with Sajak holding the Guinness World Records title for having the longest career as a game show host for the same show. Wheel of Fortune taped its 7,000th episode last year.

Jennifer Lopez’s Green Sally LaPointe Outfit in NYC

Published

on

Jennifer Lopez is gorgeous in pink . . . and gold . . . and green. OK, any color, really, but especially green. Case in point: the Hustlers actress stepped out in NYC on Nov. 11 in a head-to-toe teal look that would put Emerald City residents to shame. Her cashmere turtleneck sweater with feathered sleeves and satin track pants were part of Sally LaPointe’s Resort 2020 collection, and no surprise, she nailed the monochromatic ensemble.

Jennifer must be used to turning heads with her outfits by now, and I’d venture a guess that shades of green hold a special place in her heart. After all, her iconic Versace gown was green, and she’s paid tribute to that particular look a few times over the past year. This time around, she kept the color more casual in an outfit that I would totally wear to my next holiday party. Thanks for the cozy inspo, J Lo! Ahead, see more photos of her getup from all angles.

Black Friday, also known as the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season, is fast approaching, which means it’s now crunch time for marketers to solidify their strategies for appealing to shoppers during what is, for most retailers, the most important time for sales.

And according to the retail consultancy NPD Group, a one-size-fits-all strategy isn’t going to work, as every generation or age group has different shopping habits, according to its 2019 Holiday Purchase Intentions Survey. In other words, Gen Z is going to spend differently, on different items and at different times than the boomers they currently love to mock.

“No consumer can be left behind in today’s increasingly competitive retail environment where shoppers demand a more personalized approach than ever before,” said Marshal Cohen, The NPD Group’s chief industry advisor in a statement. “In order to win the holiday retail battle, marketers need to address holiday shoppers across every generation, and also make them feel like they matter.”
