Sophia Hutchins FINALLY Sets The Record Straight About Caitlyn Jenner – ‘We Were Never Romantically Involved’

Despite insisting that their relationship is platonic, many have believed over the years that Caitlyn Jenner and Sophia Hutchins are romantically involved.

Now, the 23-year-old is setting the record straight once and for all about her friend and roommate in an interview with The New York Times.

She shared with the publication:

“We were never romantically involved.”

So why hasn’t she outright denied anything until now about this and allowed the rumors to persist? Hutchins explained:

“Because we weren’t addressing it. I don’t feel a need to address my sex life, quite frankly, unless I want to.”

On that note, she’s actually dating someone else! Soph confirmed she just started dating a 30-year-old Harvard University grad who works on Wall Street.

When Sophia transitioned during her time as a student at Pepperdine University, she cited Caitlyn as being an inspiration to her. As fate would have it, the two were later introduced by a member of Hutchins’ glam squad who had also worked with Jenner and thought the two would hit it off. She reminisced on their first meeting:

“We were introduced through my makeup artist at a M.A.C. photo shoot. Having a similar sense of humor, we spent the entire time laughing and ended up meeting for brunch, and we’ve been great friends ever since.”

Aside from finding a confidant in the former KUWTK star, she also saw a business opportunity, since Kris Jenner was no longer involved in Caitlyn’s affairs due to their divorce. Despite having no relevant experience, she convinced Cait to hire her:

“I saw nobody was managing her, and there were all these people taking massive advantage. And I was saying, ‘Caitlyn, if I don’t step in here and start managing you, you’re going to go broke.’”

The two quickly developed a personal and professional relationship, and during Sophia’s senior year of college, she became Jenner’s manager, taking a 10% cut of her business and moving into her 11-acre Malibu compound.

Since signing onto the I Am Cait star’s team, she has taken the lead on negotiating deals, including her current contestant role on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. Per Miz Hutchins, her signing on “has been reported to be the highest fee in the show’s history.” She added:

“We made a lot of money together and still do.”

So what’s next for this businesswoman? A new venture in the skincare space. Expect to see her new makeup-setting mist with SPF, Lumasol, on sale in the spring. Seems eerily similar to the path taken by the KarJenner sisters, who Hutchins says she is “on good terms” with:

“I’m on good terms with all the family, but I’m closest with Kris, Kim [Kardashian West], Kylie [Jenner] and Kendall [Jenner].”

But don’t count on seeing her “extended family” members showing off her biz to their social media followers:

“If I want someone in that clan to promote the product, they’re going to be compensated. And these girls are not cheap.”

Damn, not even for “family”?!

While Jenner declined to be interviewed for the article, her publicist submitted a brief statement:

“Over the last few years, Sophia has been my best friend, family and confidant. She is one of the top minds in her field. Her value in my life is undeniable. The sky is the limit with her entrepreneurial spirit.”

Whoops! Glenn Close Confuses SAG Awards for Golden Globes — Twice!

Awards season can seem like an endless series of black-tie Sunday events, especially if you’ve attended them for decades. Such was the case for veteran actress Glenn Close, who confused Sunday’s Screen Actors’ Guild Awards for the Golden Globes — twice!

The two-time SAG Award winner gave her Instagram followers a look inside the Shrine auditorium, capturing a snap with actor Bobby Canavale (the partner of her “Damages” co-star Rose Byrne). “Bobby!!! A wonderful surprise at the Golden Globes,” Close captioned the photo.

Later during the show, Close posted a video from the awards show, showing off her dinner place card (next to Rita Wilson’s) and at one point even panning past the giant Screen Actors Guild logo on the main stage. “At theGolden Globes. Such an honor to be in that room with people who have entertained and inspired me for years. A lovely evening,” she wrote.

The actress later corrected the posts. And we certainly can’t blame Close for getting the events confused as many of the attendees and winners overlapped — she presented the Best Actor award to Joaquin Phoenix, who also took home the Golden Globe in that category exactly two weeks prior.

Earlier in the evening, Close posted a video saying that she was headed to the SAG Awards, so she actually did know which awards show she was attending.

“Hi everyone, I’m back,” she said after adjusting the camera. “I’m going to the SAG Awards. I’m very, very honored to be giving the award for best actor tonight and just had the usual craziness with my wonderful hair and makeup people. This beautiful Oscar de la Renta dress, I’m very happy to have also these Cartier jewels. I always feel like Cinderella: come here, do something, see a lot of friends, and go back my blue jeans.”

We can forgive her Globes gaffe and applaud any 72-year-old who uses social media!

Will Alayah Benavidez Return to ‘Bachelor’ After Being Sent Home?

[Warning: There are Bachelor season 24, episode 3 spoilers ahead—read at your own risk!]

  • After being told that contestant Alayah Benavidez wasn’t being real with him, Peter Weber eliminated her at the third rose ceremony.
  • However, it looks like she might be coming back…

Wow guys, Peter Weber’s season is BRINGING IT with the content—first we got two episodes with Hannah Brown cameos, then we got a bottle of champagne exploding on contestant Kelsey Weier’s face, and tonight was all about the beauty queen drama. And even though it looked like we had seen the last of Alayah Benavidez, aka former Miss Texas, it seems like that might not be the case after all!

After Peter eliminates Alayah during a very intense rose ceremony (Chris Harrison comes in to take away one of the roses dramatically), he pulls aside a producer and tells her that he has regrets about letting Alayah go. He doesn’t know if he made the right choice, and worries that he’s going to regret it “like crazy” and that he won’t get past her going home “for a while.” “I thought that was the right thing to do,” he says, “but I don’t know right now. I just hope I made the right decision.”

THEN during teasers for next weeks’ episode, who shows back up during a group date but Alayah, who saunters in and announces, “I here to freaking set the record straight about what was said about me.” And FYI, the things be said about her presumably refer to most of the other contestants saying that she was fake/Victoria P. telling Peter that Alayah asked her to lie about them knowing each other.

So, I guess this leads me to ask: Do we think that Alayah will be rejoining Peter and the other contestants on their journey to ~lurve~?

StockX reports over $1 billion in GMV in 2019

StockX, the Detroit-based “stock market of things,” has announced that it surpassed $1 billion in gross merchandise value in 2019 alone, as the platform pushed forward with international expansion, especially in Europe and Asia.

StockX was founded in Detroit in February 2016 – Instagram: @stockx

As part of its expansion efforts, StockX opened offices in Tokyo, New York City and Silicon Valley in 2019, as well as authentication centers in both the Netherlands and Atlanta. The platform also localized in France, Italy and Germany, thereby reducing processing fees and delivery times for customers in these countries.
These investments are obviously paying off for the company, which was founded in February 2016, as international sales accounted for 30% of its business last year.

Over the course of the year, the platform also saw its buyer and seller registration base increase by more than 100% and processed sales in a total of 197 countries and territories.
It wasn’t only its global reach that StockX expanded last year, though, as the company was also busy diversifying its product categories. The platform, which hosts sneakers, apparel, accessories and collectibles, added trading cards to its collectibles category in 2019. The company’s luxury and collectibles categories grew by almost 200% over the course of the year.
StockX’s team grew considerably in 2019 too, with the company’s first-ever chief financial, chief marketing and chief communications officers all joining e-commerce vet Scott Cutler, who was appointed as the platform’s CEO in June of last year. StockX currently employs around 1,000 people worldwide.
“2019 was a momentous year for StockX,” said Cutler in a release. “We rapidly expanded our product lines, verticals and global footprint — all to better serve our growing platform and valued customers around the world. As the fastest-growing e-commerce marketplace of its kind, we are committed to leveraging the incredible learnings and momentum from 2019 while remaining focused on, and excited by the significant growth opportunities in 2020.”
As part of a report on its progress in 2019, StockX also revealed some of its biggest selling brands in certain categories last year. In the sneaker category, the brands with the biggest market share were Jordan Brand, Adidas and Nike, with the most popular styles proving to be the Jordan 1, the Yeezy 350 and the Air Force 1.
The top three streetwear brands on the platform were Supreme, Bape and Kith, while Rolex was the most popular watch brand and Louis Vuitton was the favorite label in the accessories category.
