Survivor’s Sandra Diaz-Twine Just Announced Retirement

Published

on

Sandra Diaz-Twine is not about to sit through endless Survivor challenges on the Edge of Extinction.

The only two-time winner in the show’s history is known for skating by by sitting out of challenges, so when she was voted out in last week’s episode and sent to the Edge of Extinction, she decided not to stay.

At the start of tonight’s episode, she announced to fellow Extinction residents Rob, Amber, Ethan, Parvati, Natalie, Tyson, and Danni that she wasn’t about to stick around and deal with all the physical difficulty of Extinction, and she sailed away from the game for good.

“I feel like I can’t do anything else, you know?” she said. “Like, my time here is done and I’ve done everything that I can possibly do in the world and in the game of Survivor, and I don’t need to do anything else but move on.”

“I have no interest in running up the mountain for a little scoop of rice, sleeping in a raggedy shelter, being bitten by rats,” she told the camera. “I don’t want to deal with it. I’m not very good at the challenges. Everybody knows that. So I feel I would be wasting my time just for an opportunity to go back into the game, which I’m not gonna succeed at. I got voted out, and now it’s time for me to go.”

I’ve gained a lot because of Survivor,” she continued. “It has changed my life. It’s given me opportunities that I might not otherwise have had. I’m happy to go into retirement and know that I did the best I could with what I had. At the end of the day, I’m still the queen, and I’ll always stay the queen.”

Sandra was voted out last week after she gave Denise her idol, and then Denise used that idol to control the game and vote Sandra out, and she ended up having to defend herself after she told that story to her fellow major players who had also been voted out.

“At the end of the day, I’m still human, just like everybody else,” she said.

Back on the regular beaches, it was an idol frenzy while Michele and Wendell’s situation as exes got so awkward it was almost hard to watch. It made it seem pretty clear that Wendell was the one who was getting voted off, but then Nick started fearing how powerful Yul was, and even Michele’s plans changed.

Yul also didn’t help himself by talking everyone’s ear off at Tribal, and his fate was sealed, taking the last old school player out of the game, for now.

Survivor: Winners at War airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Bob Dylan’s “Murder Most Foul” Is His First No. 1 Song on Any Billboard Chart

Published

on

Bob Dylan won a Nobel Prize in literature in 2016, but today marked a new accomplishment: his first No. 1 hit. According to Billboard, Dylan’s new song “Murder Most Foul” has topped its Rock Digital Song Sales chart—his first No. 1 under his own name on any chart.

Dylan surprise released the 17-minute “Murder Most Foul,” which addresses the JFK assassination, on March 27. According to Nielsen data, it sold 10,000 downloads between its release and April 2. The song was his first new music since his 2012 album Tempest. As Billboard points out, others have had No. 1 hits with songs Dylan wrote: Peter Paul & Mary in 1963 with “Blowin’ in the Wind,” and the Byrds in 1965 with “Mr. Tambourine Man.” His highest charting singles previously were a handful of No. 2 slots. “Like a Rolling Stone” and “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” reached No. 2 on the Hot 100 in 1965 and 1966, respectively, and “Things Have Changed” rose to the No. 2 spot on the Adult Alternative Songs chart in 2000. He has a summer tour of the United States scheduled to begin in June.

Lyrics:
Have off my clothes when you arrive
You could seduce me with your eyes
Don’t want the smoke don’t waste my time
I be open for you
Work out my spine, I need you in
You scared of love but fuck your
Ain’t no gettin’ away from this if you wanted to
Flowin’, changin’, take part in this ocean
Like water, I run right through ya
I know that ya into me
Ride it and let me see
Ride don’t be scared of me

I like all the ways you do
Boy you killin’ me
Buss it to the tenth degree
I know that ya into me
Ride it and let me see
Ride don’t be scared of me

I like all the ways you do
Boy you killin’ me
I know that ya feelin’ me
Buss it to the tenth degree
So deep I feel you in my mind
So good I want it all the time
Buss in my garden, fertilize
Wanna grow with you
If it’s on we should get it on
‘Cause we all night long
Come first then break up that
In me is where you belong
I know that ya into me
Ride it and let me see
Ride don’t be scared of me

I like all the ways you do
Boy you killin’ me
I know that ya feelin’ me
Buss it to the tenth degree
I know that you into me
Ride it and let me see
Ride don’t be scared of me

I like all the ways you do
Boy you killin’ me
Buss it

According to Fox 8, when shoppers entered the store they were handed slips that read, “Random Act of Kindness” and upon checking out they were told their groceries were paid for.

One of the recipients of his generosity stated he saw a grocery bag over the credit card reader and proceeded to take it off, but he was stopped.

“I was almost done shopping, so that wasn’t a big deal,” he said. When he arrived, he saw a Kroger grocery bag over the credit card reader and was about to take it off when the cashier told him that he didn’t need to worry. Perry, she said, had his $290 in groceries covered.”

Also, according to 11 Alive, the media mogul only wanted to be referred to as “Atlanta Angel.”

As we reported, Tyler Perry was in the news, last week, for tipping a total of $21,000 to 42 Atlanta restaurant employees.

During times like this, it is good to see those who can give back do just that.
